About HEID

Hendrikus Erasmus is the founder and creative director of the award-winning HEID Interior Design Studio. He established the studio in 2011, and has since built a body of work spanning luxury residential, retail, hospitality and the workplace.

Hendrikus believes in invoking the unique soul of every project. Each space is designed with intention, and his aesthetic — eclectic, bold, visually exciting and timeless — has become the trademark stamp behind HEID’s work.

THE TEAM

Hendrikus leads a team of interior designers, interior architects, space planners and project managers. Every project is directed by him personally from first conversation to final handover.

OUR APPROACH

We take on every project with the same integrity and attention, regardless of scale. Our ‘beyond boundaries’ approach has made us known for adaptability — we treat every brief as its own problem rather than applying a house formula.

We are registered members of SACAP.

HOW WE WORK

Knowing where to start is half of any interior project. Before any design work begins, we sit down with you and interrogate the brief — how the space needs to function, who uses it, what it needs to say, and what the budget will genuinely carry. Only then do we move to concept.

From there we handle everything: design development, technical documentation, council submissions where required, procurement, appointed trades, installation and project management. You deal with one studio.
